BOROBUDUR DAN KITA: Inklusivitas dan Pariwisata Regeneratif Kawasan Warisan Budaya Dunia UNESCO

NARASI inklusivitas dalam konteks Borobudur ini adalah rajutan komunitas penjaga warisan budaya yang memiliki hak untuk mendefinisikan, menceritakan, dan mengelola makna serta nilai-nilai interpretasi warisan budaya mereka sendiri. Bukan pihak luar, termasuk akademisi maupun industri pariwisata, yang membangun narasi dan interpretasinya masing-masing. Prinsip ini berakar pada semangat keadilan epistemik: bahwa pengetahuan tentang suatu komunitas lahir dari komunitas itu sendiri, bukan tentang mereka. Dalam dunia warisan budaya, prinsip tersebut sering dirujuk sebagai "nothing about us without us”.

NARRATIVE inclusivity, in the context of Borobudur refers to the inherent right of heritage communities—as the true custodians of living cultural traditions—to define, narrate, and steward the meaning and values of their own heritage. It is not for external parties, whether academics or the tourism industry, to construct those narratives and interpretations on their behalf. This principle is rooted in a commitment to epistemic justice: that knowledge about a community must arise from within it, not be imposed upon it from outside. In the field of cultural heritage, this commitment is widely invoked through the principle of "nothing about us without us".
